Our Mission Statement
With every private event booked at our venue, we use the revenue we make to sustain the property and its many animals as well as host several Family Fun Day events throughout the year for our neighbors. Our goal here is to care for not only for our home, but our community. The public events are one of our favorite parts of what we do here at Willow Tree Farms.
Fun, compassion, and kindness rule the farm.
We strongly believe that every wedding, baby shower, and other joyous celebration adds to the magic this property holds. So please be our guest and help add to the spirit of Willow Tree Farms so that it may serve our community in so many wonderful ways for generations to come.
Who are we?
Back in 2003 Alvin and Sherrie Mashburn purchased Willow Tree Farms with just one little black barn and acres of overgrown pasture. Together they dug the ponds, built the pavilion, the 609, several barns, and their dream home. Developing the property into what it is today over 20+ years. Alongside them every step of the way was their daughter Stacy who slowly populated the place with its many “pets” and brought along grandson Ian, who after many years of free labor and life lessons is now our farm manager in adulthood and granddaughter Keely who helps with the animals and bringing the joy through great granddaughter Demaris. Their son Trace contributed his love of mowing to the farms many acres and brought along their granddaughters Cassidy & Kristin. Cassidy went away to college in 2016, returning in 2020 with a business degree and never-ending ambition. Expanding the homestead from doing back yard weddings for neighbors and friends into a full-fledged venue in hopes of making the property self-sustainable for her grandparents. Now the owner of Willow Tree Farms Events, LLC, Cassidy is continuing to expand the venue and is closer to achieving her goal of caring for her family’s passion project and uplifting our community in as many ways possible.
